Manila FAME, IFEX Philippines exhibitors win Presidential Awards for Outstanding MSMEs

Pasay City, 18 July 2024 — The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) takes pride as four of its signature trade show exhibitors win the 2024 Presidential Awards for Outstanding MSMEs on Thursday, July 10, at the Malacañan Palace.
Ai-She Footwear and Tropical Palm Herb Manufacturing both secured a spot in the highly-coveted Presidential Awards representing Southern Luzon.
Joining Manila FAME in 2019, Laguna-based shoe brand Ai-ishe Footwear is famed for its export-quality espadrilles along with its array of shoe designs made from abaca, yakan cloth, and canvas.
Tropical Palm Herb Manufacturing, which first appeared in IFEX Philippines in 2013, collaborates with more than 50 farmers working in different organic farms, producing high quality herbal products such as moringa, turmeric, guyabano, tawa tawa, and lagundi, among others.
Nelly Coffee and Tablea together with Malagos Agri-Ventures Corporation, both IFEX Philippines exhibitors, likewise landed a spot in the Presidential Awards representing Mindanao.
Founded in 1978 in the local town of Jimenez in Misamis Occidental, Nelly Coffee and Tablea is now one of the leading brands in the Philippine coffee industry. Its product offerings include Nelly’s Classic, a curated collection of coffee and tablea products; and Herbal Blends, a selection of herbal tea meticulously crafted by the wellness experts.
On the other hand, Davao-based chocolate manufacturer Malagos Agri-Ventures Corporation is part of the Puentespina Group of Companies, which has been in the agriculture industry for over 50 years. Malagos Chocolate, the company’s premium cacao brand, is a single-origin fine flavor chocolate that offers a tree-to-bar experience.
The Presidential Awards for Outstanding MSMEs, which was first commemorated in 2009 before its 15-year hiatus, is a program put in place to recognize businesses whose outstanding efforts have enabled them to meet challenging standards, showing their commitment for growth, competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability in the country.
