The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) has been made aware of fraudulent emails and messages being sent to our stakeholders. These messages falsely use the names of CITEM officials, including the Executive Director, in an attempt to engage in phishing, scamming, or other malicious activities.
Please be advised that all official communications from CITEM will only be sent through our official email domain: @citem.com.ph.
We urge our stakeholders and the general public to be vigilant and exercise caution. Please be wary of any emails or messages that:
- Come from personal email addresses (e.g., @gmail.com, @yahoo.com) or any domain other than @citem.com.ph.
- Contain unusual requests, such as asking for personal information, financial details, or immediate assistance with personal errands like purchasing gift cards.
- Use urgent or threatening language to pressure you into action.
- Contain unexpected attachments or links.
What You Can Do:
- Verify the Sender: Always check the sender's full email address.
- Do Not Engage: Do not reply to suspicious emails or engage in conversation.
- Do Not Share Information: Never provide personal, financial, or confidential information.
- Do Not Click Links: Avoid clicking on any links or downloading attachments from unverified senders.
- Report and Verify: If you receive a suspicious message, please do not hesitate to verify its authenticity by contacting us through our official channels:
